500 ml bottle. Deep amber colour with a fully diminishing off-white head. Caramel, fruit, and lightly acidic aroma. Dry caramel and lightly fruity flavours. Light bodied and dry mouthfeel. Maybe I should take back that last comment about the Fuller’s ESB...

I remember wanting to try this for sometime. Wow, what a disappointment. Thin, as in, thin head, thin mouth feel, thin taste-after taste. Anyway, Tried it.

15 Oct 2004 - Nice sweet fruit head, with vinuos aroma. Clear red colour, lowish head, low retention and suds lacing. Simplisitic but pleasant fruit hop sweet flavour. Thinnish mouthfeel, medium bitterness and a pleasant lingering aftertaste.

Bottle: Burnt orange with a thin greyish head around the rim. Orange, toffee malts, and a hint of passionfruit with some dried herbs and lemon in the background. Some slightly burnt toffee flavours with passionfruit again and strawberries. Despite the rich descriptors I found this somewhat one-dimensional and occassionally cardboardy.

This is a beer I won’t ever get again. It pulls you in with it’s nice label, but the flavor is really bad.

One of the brewer’s better bottled beers. Lucozade colour, with a moderate short-lived head. Fiercely aromatic - zesty grapefruit notes and some Styrian hop spiciness. Lots of upfront grapefuit in the mouth but with an underlay of dark rum-like alcohol. Robustly bitter in the finish.

An insane amount of floating devris. More similar to hefes than ESBs. Slightly better than the Scarecrow Ale, and reminiscent of St. Peter brews, only better.

Brown/Amber Coloring with White Ring. Light Malty Aroma. Light Malt and Hops..with a Bitter Ending. Watery Overall. The Fiddler Needs Some Lessons.
