frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 11, 2005 Aha!... I’ve finally found a Wychwood in a brown bottle! Golden-straw colored, slightly hazy with lively effervescence and a fizzy white head that was quickly but a ring. Aromas were hard to detect, but contained lime, hay and a bit of caramel malt. Flavor was rather bland, starting with sweet malt and ending a little sour. Creamy mouthfeel with soft carbonation.

JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 9, 2005 Medium brown with some orange accents. The aroma is unusually reminiscent of red wine, or even sherry, combined with a plush dose of malt. There’s a round maltiness to the flavour, complemented by overripe orange and a little bitter chocolate on the finish. Not bad but nothing special. swiseman (200), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada May 8, 2005 a distinct bitterness; light lacings and a strong aftertaste; medium bodied badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 30, 2005 Light amber color with no head. Slight malt aroma. The taste is a simple malt base with a bit of bitterness. Plain, but drinkable. gearbike (413), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Apr 19, 2005 Poured from bottle. Very dissapointing. Light amber color. Light sweet malty taste. Not worth the price of a premium beer. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Apr 4, 2005 Poured from the bottle. An interesting organge colour this, with a disappointingly thin head. Aroma isn’t anythign distinguishable, just malty. Quite hoppy to the taste, I get hints of orange zest coming through. A little over-carbonated for my liking. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA Mar 29, 2005 This is my favorite of their beers. A beer with a buttery almond appearance in the glass. The taste is smoother and sweeter than hobgoblin showing some toffee flavor and aroma. jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands Mar 26, 2005 Bottled. Strong sweet caramel aroma. Amber color, small off-white head, no lace. Less sweet than the aroma suggests, caramel, light bitter. Medium body, little dry, alcohol very much present although just 5.2%.
