As others have noted, this is an easy to drink beer. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

nice balanced flavors and not 'bitter' malty warm with slight sweet honey finish. very easy to drink beer almost like a british mild. try wychwood beers if you like this style, they brew some outstanding british beers. all the sudden more and more available in the states. Aromas of grapefruit and orange citrus and slight caramel malt. Slightly skunky too, damn clear glass again. The initial sip was citrusy with more grapefruity sourness to it. Could get a little bit of malt, not enough though. The end palate was slightly bitter and still sour...Sad, although I will try this one again in the hope that the next will be better. This is the worst one that i’ve had from this brewery....Better now because of the darker bottles. Not the usual Skunks ass scents and flavours. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 8, 2004 Wychwood has some great names and labels but their beers don't impress me. Perhaps it's to do with the clear bottles having an impact on the flavor. This had a nice amber color and white head. The aroma was fruity. The taste was fizzy in the mouth and not very pleasing. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2004 500ml bottle - Light brown ale with a medium brew that didn't last long on top of my glass. Usual pale ale flavor of yeast and light bitterness. Body is a bit thin. Also, I don't approve of the use of a clear bottle which doesn't help a beer when it needs to travel thousand of miles to get to my place. bluevegie (2185), Perth, Australia

Well I gave the whole bottle a good go before deciding, and I still didn't change my initial impression which was that it was too tart for my liking. Small but lasting head, hoppy resiny aroma, lemon tartness and I usually like the bitterness on the end but not this time.
