An insane amount of floating devris. More similar to hefes than ESBs. Slightly better than the Scarecrow Ale, and reminiscent of St. Peter brews, only better.

Bottle from LCBO. I’ve always avoiding this beer int he past due to the clear bottle, but they’ve finally grabbed a clue and switched to brown, so I figured I should give it a shot. Pours a slightly hazy but bright orange-amber with a decent sized off-white head. Mellow, sweet aroma with notes of malt, honey, grass, and a bit of floral hops. Thin body. Flavour is grainy and slightly roasty, with some light toffee notes, and a moderately bittered finish. Not bad, but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

Clear orange/golden colour with a very thin white head. Very still appearance, absolutely no visible carbonation. Strong macrobrew aroma with strong hints of metal and a tiny bit of english hops and a tad of some malt. Medium-Bodied; Strong maltiness, even stronger metallic taste and the strongest: macrobrew skunkyness. Aftertaste full of malt and that horrible macrobrew crap palate--stale hops & metal. Not the absolute worst beer, but pretty bad in terms of a 'quality' beer! Pass this beer up and go for Hobgoblin if you really want a beer from this brewery! I bought this 500 mL bottle from Harris Teeter in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia and sampled it on 31-August-2003.

Bottle pours amber and cloudy with a short offwhite head. Aromas of grassy notes with a little grapefruit and lots of earthy tones. Flavor is slight orange, and pineapple blended with caramel malts. Slightly bitter at the finish. Palate is grainy and somewhat textured. Not much in the way of hops on the finish. Not bad though just nothing too great about it either.

Not bad. lighter fruity hop bitterness that stayed a little too long. Thin body, light color. An obvious cousin of Hobgobblin. worth trying.

500 ml bottle from Bevmo. Golden/orange amber with a slight fizzy head. Sweet malty aroma and taste with a faint bitterness to the finish.
