Bottle from Sainsburys. A pale amber/orange colour with a creamy off-white head. Hoppy, slightly spicey aroma. Flavour is hoppy then bitter, with some yeast at the end. Dry with a longish bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied. Not too bad at all. Don’t get the "skunkyness" referred to by others, perhaps because it’s not travelled far, is in a brown bottle and still has a year to go on its best before date.

Bouteille de 500 ml. Couleur ambrée claire, mini collet qui disparait vite. Petit arome d’houblon sucré. Goût faiblement amère, peu d’houblon. Buvable mais rien plus.

Pours a clear amber with little to no head at all. Aroma is malty with a touch of alcohol. Taste is of caramel malt, light hops and a little fruitiness. Pretty sweet and not bitter at all. Tastes like a boring amber ale, not a bitter. Mouthfeel is a little watery on the palate but the taste is full. Overall, drinkable but completey forgettable.

Limpid amber body with a thin but dense bubbly head. Pleasant malty nose with some fruity (raisin, citrus apple) notes. Good hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel, malt and spices. It ends with a honest bitter final. Not bad at all...

Bottle at Pig and Whistle in Kyoto. Medium copper color, rather tall white head. Rich caramel malt aroma with strong hops. Quite fragrant. Malt flavor is rather rich, with caramel, though hops balance nicely as well. Rather straightforward, with citrus. Not all that interesting, but good.

Bottle 0,5l. Golden colored. A shortlived fluffy head clinging to the glass. Fruity aroma dominated by raisins. Sweet fruity flavor with a developing fruity bitterness.

Interesting label art on the bottle. Pours the color of weak tea with no head at all. The only foam is a small ring around the glass. Aroma is a balance of malt and hop and is not pronounced. Some floral notes can be found. Like the aroma, the flavor is a hop / malt balance. The hops give dryness that the malt cannot overcome. Bitterness is present but not as dominant as one might expect. This beer could be described as a mix of a pale ale and a brown ale which is an interesting and a nice mix.

Bottled, and clear. Nice orange-yellow color. Lots of hops in the aroma, and pleasantly fruity. Malty and very hoppy flavor. This is an excellent English style IPA. I was fortunate to have this @ Andy's corner bar, where the beer is cared for perfectly and not exposed to light. Most people who have rated this have not had a fresh bottle. This beer is outstanding! Why does it seem that others who have tried this beer and gotten a fresh bottle have said that this beer was sweet and not very hoppy? The one that I had was very hoppy as compared to other Engligh IPA's that I have had. Something is amiss.
