Caramel and some fruity hops in the nose. Sweetish caramel notes quickly dissipitating to an inviting crisp, fruity and roasted hop bite. Finishes moderate and pleasant. A nice English Pale, surprisingly unskunked, it's hard to find an unspoiled bottle in these parts. Radek Kliber (4001), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Grain and polecat aroma, due to the flippin' bottle. Lightly sweet, pleasantly bitter, some interesting caramelized/toasted sugar and floral flavors. I think I liked this better than most of their other offerings so far. It has a certain baked pie quality to it -- the roasted sugars and fruitiness. Good balance on the acidity. Body was medium and drinkable. Finish was subtle, mellow and somewhat long-lasting, without any clinging bitterness. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Mar 27, 2006 Bottle from my buddy Tony. Sweet, roasted malt aroma that is slightly chalky; nice. Crystal clear, dark gold with plentiful, but slow rising, well dispersed carbonation. Off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Not much lace. Initial mouthfeel is promising. Lightly sweet. Is fairly bland in the finish but with a pleasant, doughy quality. A nice beer for maltheads who like dryer beers. GreatDane (100), Ballerup, Denmark

Aroma is caramel, nice and malty, with a little nuttiness to it. Taste is a bit nutty, with light caramel and hops in the background. Not all to much to it, but far from repulsive. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2004 Honey-coloured with a decent-sized white head that fades to thin lacing. Hop presence is fairly assertive, with floral notes and a lemony citrus smell. Also quite floral in taste with some caramel noticable. A medium length bitter finish. Quite good.
