This full bodied íGoalíden ale is a cut above the rest. The fantasy formation kicks off with Target hops supported by a back line of First Gold for a robust and exciting match. Youíll wax lyrical about the dominant El dorado hop finish of exotic fruit flavours. There wonít be any left behind!

Cask - golden with a creamy white head. Excellent retention and good lacing. Aroma of grass, some pineapple, grapefruit, orange and hints of roasted malt and nuts. Taste of melon and grass followed by medium bitterness and a bit of smokey roasty flavour, with a hint of flowers and light sweetness. Light body.

Cask @ Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Light gold with a loose white head. Clear once it (eventually) settles. Fruity, hoppy aroma with mango and vanilla, as well as a slight acridness suggesting all is not quite as it should be. Initial taste is a light tropical fruit sweetness, disappearing into a sweet finish. Mouthfeel is weak, and the aftertaste is rife with acrid bitterness attacking the tongue and throat. Although it ends poorly itís not all that bad for a World Cup theme beer.

Cask. Golden ale with a thick white head. Nose is fruity. Pear, peach and mango. Taste is zingy and fruity with more mango, touch of lemon, bruised tangerine and more pear. Surprising for Wytchwood, to be honest. Finish is a bit "off" without being unpleasant.

Cask half-pint in the lovely íAlbertí Llandudno on 11th June 2014. Golden body with an off-white head that produced plenty of lacing. Almost odourless, with just a mild floral hint from hop content. The taste had a slight malt lead with a dry hop finish. Fine on the hot day I tried this and one of Marstonís better creations of late, even if they forgot to add any aroma inducing ingredients.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Quite a sweet, fruity beer there is a distinct taste of mango jam in there for me, lingering but light. Not sure about it but wonít be trying again.

Cask @ Angleterre. Golden color, lasting white head. Fruity, sweetish, grainy aroma. Flavor has some corn flakes like notes, fruity, peachy notes. Decent bitterness, dry. Lingonberries in finish!
