Back off it’s Ginger Beard, he’s a fiery character and his beer is no different. This amber ale is infused with fiery root ginger to deliver a spicy finish with a bit of bite. Try it if you dare!

Bottled 26/10/12. An amber coloured beer which poured with no head. Sweet and gingery with cleaning products in the nose. Sweet and fiery ginger in the mouth. Apart from the kick of spice it’s a bit sweet and poppy.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Toronto, ON. 4.2 alc./vol. Pours a clear amber colour with 1 finger of off white head. It pretty much smells like Canada Dry ginger ale. It tastes very sweet, hoppy notes, and ginger is pronounced, with a mildly stinging spicy finish. Overall: If you pour a can of ginger ale soda into a pint glass and fill it up with some lager, you will get the above reviewed beer.

Poured a clear, sparkling amber. Minimal head. Dissipated to nothing quickly. Very strong ginger aroma. Strong, Ginger root flavour. Slightly harsh, chemical tinge. Best comparison would be Vernor’s with extra ginger and vodka.

Appearance: Clear amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Lemon, lime, ginger, syrupy, mineral. Taste: Medium sweetness, low sourness and bitterness, slight saltiness and peppery. Palate: Thick coarse texture, medium body, average carbonation, lingering dry, sweet, warming ginger, hot peppery finish with a gentle citrus note. Comments: Tasty and lace. Not one I would normally go for. It’s a bit like lemonade mixed with ginger ale. Worth a try.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a clear golden color with a small fizzy off white head. Aroma of ginger, candied sugar, and faint spice. Taste is disgusting! Syrupy sprite, Splenda, and sweet ginger candy. Yuk!

a terrible beer by a brewery that usually makes pretty good beer; amber color; ginger aroma; light bodied; very sweet, ginger flavor; tastes pretty much like a ginger ale, only sweeter; way too sweet - I couldn’t drink it

Bottle, stable bubbly head, clear deep orange to light red colour, aroma of ginger and sprite with some earthy notes, ginger and earthy notes with a medium strong grapefruit bitterness and a light spicy tingling in your throat, much too sweet and a little cloying. Could be really good if it wasn’t so sweet.

Clear gold with nice foamy head. Aroma of ginger, spice, and antiseptic. Taste very gingery, bready, sweet but with a sort of unpleasant bitterness to it that lingers in the palate.
