Back off it’s Ginger Beard, he’s a fiery character and his beer is no different. This amber ale is infused with fiery root ginger to deliver a spicy finish with a bit of bite. Try it if you dare!

Hmm, the nose is a bit worryingly halfway between an ale and a ginger beer. Pours a clear burnished copper with no lasting head of any description. The taste - not for me. Imagine a pretty insipid, unremarkable ale ... now dump a load of sugar and a bit of fiery ginger in it. That’s what this is. If that’s your thing, then fine, but, again, not for me.

Shared bottle. Pours is light amber with small foamy white head. Aroma of ginger, malts, lemon. Taste is sweet, spicy with a touch of ginger, just a hint of bittery. Medium body, sirupy, sticky texture. Spicy and sweet finish.

Smells like a sweet chemichal radler. Too much sweetness also in the taste, with spicy ginger and some pleasant chilly final. Could be a nice cocktail, but absolutely no taste of beer

Pours attractive coppery amber with medium white head that leaves only minor lacing. Aroma is ginger, then more ginger. If you strain, there’s some malt underneath. Taste follows suit, with sweetness, lime, that touch of malt and an attractive fiery ginger finish. Throat burn is just enough, though aftertaste can be artificial/medicinal. This is a very niche product: it’s not very sweet for a ginger beer, but it’s extremely sweet for a beer. That’s almost the only counterpoint to the ginger, since the underlying ale serves mainly as a conduit.

Barwa bursztynowa, piana biała, szybko opada i znika. W aromacie głównie czuć imbir, nuty słodowe. W smaku goryczki praktycznie żadnej nie ma, głównie imbir, bardzo bardzo słodkie. Na finiszu w przełyky występuje uczucie pieczenia.

Pours hazy copper with no head. Aroma resembles some cheap "holiday aroma" soap out of some cheap motel. Cloying sweetness with zero bitterness and some spiciness. Easily the worst beer I had this year.

50cl bottle @PBF X. Amber color, thin white head. Lots of ginger, sweetness in aroma. Flavor has candy and ginger. Very soda like.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Clear pale amber, small head. Sugary ginger aroma. Super sweet with medium body and sticky mouthfeel. Syrup, ginger and sugar. Like sticky mouthfeel.

The ginger dominates everything from the aroma to the spicy finish. With one exception - the taste which proves to be so sticky sweet that even the spiciness of the ginger is not enough to balance it. Not good.

(Bottle 0.5l / half of bottle) Dark amber, clear colour. Medium sized, fast to medium fast falling, bubble head. Light body, watery texture, medium to high carbonation. Aroma: Ginger, sweet, ginger soda, lemonade, medium artifical. Taste: Sweet, strong spicy, ginger. Medium long, ginger roots finish, medium to strong spicy. Weird and artifical, taste like ginger lemonade, but still easy to drink.
