3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 teddybeer (1484) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 6, 2012
50cl bottle. Brown colour with a formation of a tan head, medium duration, creamy and slightly frothy. Aroma is nutty, caramelish, slightly sweet. Flavour is slightly sweet at the beginning, caramel, nuts and almonds are present. The final is bittery and dry. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 maekchu (1086) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUN 6, 2012
Bottle. Drink-by date 5/31/2012. Butterscotchy aroma, caramel, and a bit wine-like. Coppery, cloudy, very thin head. Flavors: light butterscotch, some bitterness in mid palate, and all diminishes so quickly. Thin body. Well made, yes, but rather unexciting. I don’t think I’ll buy any more of this for some time.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pyobon (725) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 13, 2012
(bottle) Clear coppery mahogany colour with reasonable white head. Aroma is mainly hops; seaweed or hay with hints of caramel / malt. Light body with medium, somewhat fuzzy rather than smooth, carbonation. Flavour starts with restrained malt balanced by a bit of tanginess and some astringency from hops. The hop flavours build to a reasonable bitter finish, but the bitterness is somewhat harsh and metallic. Overal a easy drinking but fairly tasty beer.

Bottle. Golden colour, clear. Thin white head and no lacing. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is malty, some bitter.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BlackHaddock (2350) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
660cl Brown bottle best before 20 Jan 08, drank with AWolfAtTheDoor on 03 Jan 08.
Poured into a pint sleeve glass, it was a good amber colour and clear with a small white head.
The aroma was of hops and caramel, the beer was fairly cold though and as it warmed liquorice smell came, which is unusual for an English Pale Ale (well it is for me).
The aftertaste is where this beer let itself down, dry and metalic. It almost ruined the whole experience.
This is anothe 50-50 beer from Wychwood. I am not going to rush out and buy a crate of this, but if someone offered me a pint in a pub, I’d except it.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Swaroga (788) - Brussels, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2012
50cl bottle. Light , filtered, dirty water like liquid with small head that doesn’t stay long. Nose : cake, hay, grains, wood. Sip : water like texture with nicely fluffy texture. Extra points there. Otherwise it’s mild , sweet, develops bitter hoppy ending. OK.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (7298) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 15, 2012
Clear foxy-amber, well-carbonated to light cream-coloured head. Caramel, biscuit, creamtoffee and some fruity yeastnotes. Dry caramel, finish a tad grassy, with again some fruity notes. Light body, but quite slick & sticky, despite the not too lazy carbonation. For a brewery that highly claims having so much taste, this is bl**din dull!
