500 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. BB 31 MAY 12. 1144 20:04.

App.: Clear amber with a so-so off-white head. Aroma: Earthy, nutty, caramel, toffee, fruits, British, a touch woody, some dark rum notes, a touch of peppery herbs. Palate: Medium body, relaxed effervescence, a touch astringent. Flav.: Similar to the nose but a bit more restrained and less inviting, a slight tang, a little more herbal hops, a touch dusty/musty; dry with limited bitterness and a sorta British malt, lacklustre finish.

Not particularly biblical or gigantic.

500 mL bottle. Hazy orange with a small white head. Bread and tangy fruit in the aroma. Mild flavour has some slightly bruised ripe fruit and malt. Nothing special here, really. Not their best offering.

500mL bottle from the Lickbow. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber with a small beige head. Aroma is the same malt body of every single beer this brewery does, kind of nutty and fruity. Not awful. Flavour is the same on a medium palate, with some very subtle hop aspects in the finish (Goldings?). Lots of toffee, orange esters, not that bad actually. I really used to hate the beers from this brewer but I guess my tastes have changed. I could drink this again (though I probably won’t).

500 ml bottle - pours clear, colour is orange marmalade with a thick, long-lasting white head. Aroma super fruity, almost winey. Flavour, uh, black tea, sour grapes, some plastic, really dry, chalky finish. Over carbonated. Think this one might be off, or at least I hope it is.

ComradeK (732) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - SEP 16, 2011
500ml bottle. Pours a clear, light amber, with a large, pillowy white head, which lasts fairly well, and leaves good lacing. Sweet malt notes are prominent on the nose, with toffee and caramel especially noticeable, along with some fruit cake. Quite strong hops appear early on, giving a peppery citrus character to the beer. These fade into a sweeter orange peel flavour, before being replaced by toffee malt in the body. Candied fruit notes lead into a slightly woody finish. This has a touch more malt character than one expects from a bitter, but this gives it real depth and class. A very pleasant beer indeed.

Pours golden amber with a thick white head. Nice hop aroma with a little caramel as well. Very sweet tasting almost like a cider with a slightly sour aftertaste. This is terrible.!!!!!!!
