Pasteurised Bottle. A cask version did appear in 2001 @ 3.7% Goliath: The Beer to slay a mighty thirst. A full bodied & robust ruby bitter brewed with Pale & Crystal Malts, with a rich malty taste & a hefy wack of Fuggles & Goldings hops, just the beer to slay that thirst...

Red-orange colour with little white head. Some faint berries in the aroma that generally isn’t impressive. The taste is sweet with some red currants and strawberries, before turning mildly bitter in the aftertaste.

A hazed amber ale with a thin lacing big bubbled off white head. In aroma, sweet corn caramel malt with light grassy hops, honey, oxidized. In mouth, sweet mineral corn syrup and light grassy hops, light oxidation, boring and plain. LCBO Bottle.

Bottle. Nice deep golden color with a bubbly medium rather short lasting white head. Quite a fruity aroma with some caramel. Flavour is fresh, malty with hops, fruity, rusty sweet caramel. Some bitterness in the finish. A decent beer though the rustiness is quite misfitting in the beer.

The best Wychwood beer I've tasted or smelled. Deep, amber ale with a medium-sized, khaki head with very good lacing. Ok, so I finally run into a Wychwood that isn't skunked and it has almost no aroma. Ok, sure, lemony and malty with light butterscoth flavors up front. Well-balanced, but mostly flavorless on the backside. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and very light carbonation. Lengthy, acedic, malty and woodsy finish. Not at all a bad beer. The only one I have actually enjoyed from Wychwood thus far.

Golden with a red hue and a nice head. The aroma is like an early summer morning: fresh, floral, sunny and fruity. The flavour is round, fruity and malty. Goliath is a big beer, but in spite of that, he has a light body - and is a refreshing summer beer. The finish is rather long and nice with a light bitterness.

Hazy amber. Dense, beige head. Light hoppy to the nose. Rounded fruity taste and light bitter ending. Medium palate. Average (Sampled at Tromsø Ølfestival 17.08.2006).
