Pasteurised Bottle. A cask version did appear in 2001 @ 3.7% Goliath: The Beer to slay a mighty thirst. A full bodied & robust ruby bitter brewed with Pale & Crystal Malts, with a rich malty taste & a hefy wack of Fuggles & Goldings hops, just the beer to slay that thirst...

Bottle. Nice deep golden color with a bubbly medium rather short lasting white head. Quite a fruity aroma with some caramel. Flavour is fresh, malty with hops, fruity, rusty sweet caramel. Some bitterness in the finish. A decent beer though the rustiness is quite misfitting in the beer.

Golden with a red hue and a nice head. The aroma is like an early summer morning: fresh, floral, sunny and fruity. The flavour is round, fruity and malty. Goliath is a big beer, but in spite of that, he has a light body - and is a refreshing summer beer. The finish is rather long and nice with a light bitterness.

660ml bottle. Orangy brown, pours with a dense head, but fades. Initially light fruits, later peppery hops in the aroma. Rich malty taste - biscuity. Citrusy hoppiness too, resiny. Lovely crossover of the two for the finish, some tart berries too perhaps. Crisp and refreshing. Good full-flavoured bitter for 4.2%.

The best Wychwood beer I've tasted or smelled. Deep, amber ale with a medium-sized, khaki head with very good lacing. Ok, so I finally run into a Wychwood that isn't skunked and it has almost no aroma. Ok, sure, lemony and malty with light butterscoth flavors up front. Well-balanced, but mostly flavorless on the backside. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and very light carbonation. Lengthy, acedic, malty and woodsy finish. Not at all a bad beer. The only one I have actually enjoyed from Wychwood thus far.

50cl bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust. Clear autumnal amber color, medium sized light beige head. Smell malts, butter. Taste malts, buttery, lightly bitter. Typical English style bitter. A bit dry finish, medium carbonation, low to medium body.

Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, mid-sized stable off-white head with a little lace; fruity-caramelly nose with a delicate touch of vegetables; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; slightly increasing dry bitterness in the short fruity (lemony) - caramelly finish, followed by a faint metallic tinge in the aftertaste. Not so good.....
