2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beer3000 (3765) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 25, 2013
500 ml bottle sampled in 2008. Beautiful clear amber body with a nice beige head. Weak aroma of light roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is also pretty light, some roasted malt, caramel, some fruit and moderate bitterness. Thin body and short aftertaste. Like a watered-down version of the regular one. Decent for 3,5% abv, but boring as a beer in general.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SaintMatty (3705) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2012
500ml Bottle - Copper/dark brown with a foamy head. Malt, bran flakes, dried fruit and nuts in the aroma. Malty and fruity taste with notes of toffee, malt and dried fruit. Pleasant and easy to drink. The regular Hobgoblin is not as good as it used to be, but this 3.5% version is surprisingly enjoyable.

Perfect with a dram of whiskey in front of the TV. One of the most wonderful beer I ever tasted. Flavour of almond and caramel with malty richness.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 suurjuust (619) - ESTONIA - JAN 2, 2012
Copper tinged brown, off-white head. Nose is on the weak side, but I can make out malts, faint fruitiness and caramel. Taste is watery malts and some nuttiness, weak crisp bitterness in the finish. Thin palate. For the ABV, it’s decent, but overall - eh.

Very thin and I could really only taste a bit of bitterness. Aroma is almost non-existent. Refreshing.
