Traditionally Crafted Legendary Ruby Beer.
Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.
The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

Pour on tap at Old Chicago, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of some sour grain, caramel, toffee, hints of spice, slight cardboard, just not the right tastes in here. Taste is similar, some sour grain, cardboard, some slight sweet caramel, toffee, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter.

The smell and look of this beer is about the only thing going for it. Too fruity for for me.

Doggetts Coat and Badge, Southwark 2 Nov 12. Nicholson Festivaløl. Mørk amber. OK tett skum som varer lenge. Topp utseende! God karamellaroma. Smaken søt karamell. Litt tørr frukt i ettersmaken.

It's hobgoblin. The boring beer you have when there is not else. Red coloured, malty. Bit of a mess but ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On handpull at Rocklands Private Members Club in Redditch,Worcestershie.25/11/2012 This is a ruby coloured beer with a nose of strong malt and a hint of toffee. In the taste the malt flavour comes through with the toffee and a fruitiness which rounds it off nicely. However, this is not the beer it used to be when it was 5.00%,a pity to lose another once great beer to a lower level due to abv reduction,a story which is becoming all too familiar in certain classic English beers.

A clear red pint with a thick, lasting and red-tinged head. A sweet aroma and a similarly fruity taste with a hint of spice (ginger, perhaps?) I found it to be a little bit sickly.

Draft at Old Chicago. Nothing really special here. Roasty nuts that seemed quite watered down. I’ll pass.

Very good ale.. I would say a winter drink. Full of flavour. Abit darker than I like.

Cask@oldmill, wakefield. Dark reddish brown, medium head good lacing. Malty aroma. Sweet fruit and strong caramel taste. Sticky on the palate, an ok Pint.
