2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Amber brown. No head somewhat hoppy. I think the cask was bad because it tastes somewhat tart, almost sour. Had at the church converted into a bar across from Chichester cathedral.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Crown Rivers, LHR T5, 18/05/13.
Clear chestnut brown with a good sized bubbly light beige head.
Nose is malt forward, dark berry fruit, toffee fudge.
Taste comprises toffee, dark malt, berry fruits, dates, light sugars.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter notes in the finish.
Not had this for maybe 10 years or so and had always edged away from it having held bad memories. However, when in good condition, this is a very drinkable beer, or perhaps it was because it was 6.50 in the morning and I’d had 4 hours sleep ! No - it was OK stuff to be fair!

Aromas of puke, hints of red malts and butterscotch.
Sweet, resiny caramel malts, english hoppyness. Quite ok taste. Overall quite good beer but the aroma is awful

Cask at The Roadhouse in Birmingham. I always find the caramel a bit too heavy in this beer. It’s a nice drink but not a session beer for me
