Cask at The Roadhouse in Birmingham. I always find the caramel a bit too heavy in this beer. It’s a nice drink but not a session beer for me

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hcgiii (30) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Not much initial taste that gives way to a lager taste. Carbonation takes and has a dark feel on way down. Solid.

Pour on tap at Old Chicago, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of some sour grain, caramel, toffee, hints of spice, slight cardboard, just not the right tastes in here. Taste is similar, some sour grain, cardboard, some slight sweet caramel, toffee, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter.
