Traditionally Crafted Legendary Ruby Beer.
Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.
The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

Dark, almost porter coloured with a nice off-white head. Flavours are subtle - licorice, roasted malts. All very gentle with no strong hop flavours but a really tasty Burton type beer. I like it.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2005 Very interesting beer. VERY strong bitter flavour. Not something i could drink a lot of, quite fizzy. Gives me a bit of a headache, id recommend anyone to try it though. good slogan ’afraid you might taste something lager boy?’ Very dark looking with a dark head.

Draft at Flying Saucer, Raliegh NC.. Nothing exceptional stands out but a nice drinkable beer. Mild malt, bitter finish. and thin mouth feel.

Smells of chocolate and fruity vanilla. Almost see through but very dark brown in colour. Clean and flat on the tongue. Really pleasant tasting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[CASK: The Faulkners, Altrincham, 17/03/07] I consumed alot of ale on St Patricks Day this year but was delighted to come across an old favorite on Cask. This is one of my all time favorite ales and is a delicous dark and strong ale. A must try.

(cask at the Greyhound, Diss) Dark red bown with a very white head, although it disappeared quickly. Red fruit smell blended nicely with some hops. Nothing spectacular thoguh. First sip was really nice subtle fruit taste - cherries with a hint of biscuit malt rounded out with a good deal of sweetness. Got a bit bland after that but ok.

Appearance - very dark, ruby, beige head leaving plenty of lacing. Aroma- malty, a bit of fruit. Taste- smooth, medium bodied, malts, slight roast, dark fruit hints. Not as complex as the bottled version.

Very dark with plenty of toffee in the aroma. Taste is balanced by a decent hop character though giving it almost dark fruit flavours. Not great, but better than most beers of this type. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
