Way better than I remember.Considering most Wychwood beers suck, this was easy drinking .Good ’customary’ dark ale flavas.A firm malt profile. So its sweet .Ok, so a boring list of what I got.Raisins, coffee -roast malt-dusty oranges-peach,coconut and chocolate.Sessionable and flavasome.

12 oz bottle. Pours brownish red with a soft creamy head. Smells like toffee or dark fruit. Tastes of carmel, nuts, roasty, a little bit of raisin. Nice long sticky aftertaste and almost creamy mouthfeel.

First off: nicely packaged in a tin canister reminiscent of the orcs and goblins going to war a la LOTR:TT... now to the beer.... thick, dark, reddish-brown body with an equally thick off-white head that settles disparately... smooth malty, almost grapelike quality; pleasantly fragrant with a bit of oak... velvety smooth on the tongue, swift to the throat with little aftertaste... light chocolate malt, gentle citric flowers balance out quite a seesionable, sweetly malted brew... a mellow sessioner with enough character (both in and out of the bottle) to endear itself to this shopper the next time out...

I really enjoyed this beer. I thought that it was going to be too malty, too cloying, but it wasn’t. It was brown with an darker-than eggshell head. Aroma is carmel and malt and raisin, taste is similar, but rather than sweet and cloying, it finishes fresh and dry. A bit watery, but that’s ok for the style. I really appreciate how relatively dry this was. Thanks to Mike Lelevier for bringing this to Panama.

Trots sin "tomtar & troll"-image är det här en sällsynt sympatisk öl som tilltalar alla sinnen. Doften är något klen, men smaken är uppe och krigar med de bästa. Len och kraftfull på samma gång. Deliciös.

Bottle, pours chestnut brown with a thick head. complex malt and fruit flavor with a dry finish. Would love to try this on tap sometime.
