| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2009 The aroma on this thing is great! Not complex but absolutely delightful! The moment I poured it out of the bottle into the glass a huge burst of fresh pear hit my nose, this gives way to raisin and nut aromas, with a little bit of sweat. Pours a clear deep brown with some decent head retention and some lace. Crap, there are those pears in the flavor again! Pears quickly fade into deep roasted malt sweetness some cherry almost an oakiness, this thing is way more fruity than it is nutty or roasty. mkel07 (519), Brisbane, Australia

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Thin head of fine bubbles that recedes pretty quickly. Strange aroma of Thanksgiving stuffing, spices, roasted malts and some celery. Very unusual!. Color is a bright crimson brown. Nice color. Light bodied with some light malts, spices and a decent bitterness that dries out the tongue. Very crisp and mellow brew. Easy drinking with a good balance. Finishes with some strange "poultry seasoning" flavor. A better than expected brew.
