Bottle and can: Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Pale, chocolate and crystal malts; English Fuggles and Styrian Goldings hops.
Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.

Enjoyed this one while tailgating with a few guys from work. Definitely a full-bodied but well balance brew, this one pours a nice orangish/red color. Not real bitter but strong in the malt department and a definite fruit flavor at the end. Enjoyable IMO, but there are better Wychwood’s out there."

Caramel and faint sweet malt aroma. Dark amber colour with good looking carbonation but poor foam. Chocolate flavour with descreete hops. Nice fresh mouthfeel with delicious carbonation. I like this one!

Pas mauvaise comme ESB, pas trop amère. Elle serait meilleure en fut ou dans une bouteille brune.

Notes from a tasting last year. Bottle, rudy brown pour with decent head. Toasty malt caramel aroma, and flavors. A little thin and lioght, both in flavor, and in mouthfeel. Not bad, but I won’t go chasing it.

Pours a deep red with a light creamy tan head. Malty aroma, fruity at the same time, light sniffs of hops. Flavor was good, fruity with a light hop bitterness. As the beer warmed slightly the lightly chocolate/coffee undertones were faintly detected. Very good. I’ll have it again.

In the 12 oz. brown bottle. Pours a dark brown with ruby undertones. White head quickly becomes exhausted from the beer. Wonderful toasted malty aroma. The body of this beer is very very watery, and yet the flavor is still quite nice. Good caramel roasted flavor with a nice hop bitterness to balance. Easy to drink.

Deep amber color with a head that collapses slowly and laces down the glass. Very sweet with little bitterness. Overall not an excpetional beer, given the price.

Not a big bitter fan... dark Amber with a redish tinge. Small but fine head with good lasting lacing. Some nice caramel and toffee aroma characteristics. Some nice toffee and caramel malt flavours but nothing too exciting. No real hop flavour to start with, although it goes towards a bitter finish. A bit thin and watery...
