UPDATED: DEC 31, 2012 Great bottle! This was not an impressive beer. The head overwhelmed the glass. The color was clear and deep amber. The taste was watery and bland. Great name but it needs some pizzaz! This a Christmas beer 2012. I upgraded some of my marks. The caramel malts were dominate in the aftertaste. Good beer to enjoy while watching bowl games.

Quite skunky, somethings not right here, some malty notes, creamy head, newcastle style. Not a particular favorite.

Dark amber colour with an off-white head. Quite malty with a slight skunky flavour (as prevoiusly noted). Not a whole lot more to this beer, no significant hop flavour. Wasnít too bad a beer, but not really worth the price.

Avery unpleasant brew Diacetyl and other off flavors dominate the nose for me. one of the worst from a very poor brewery.

Bottle. Pours dark ruby red and clear, with an average-sized, frothy head. This is a mild, enjoyable English brown ale, very smooth and fairly malty, with roasted grain notes. Similar in style to Newcastle, but slightly more complex.

Bottled, Pasteurised. Brown beer with slight white head. Overbrewed beer in a bottle, a little on the vegetable, cabbagy side. Nice dark malt flavour with some late hops, not as good as the cask.

Pours an auburn/brown with an inch of light tan head that took about 3 mins to settle into a ring. Looks very carbonated initially, but settled down. Flavor is a bit watery, but noticable malts and hops. Also a strange vegtable (perhaps celery) taste right before swallowing. Doubt I will try it again, but then Ive never really taken to many ESBís.

Bottled, 5.2%. Dark red/brown colour. Aroma mainly of malt and hops, not much of anything else. Mild flavour of malt and caramel with hints of fruit and chocolate. Bittersweet aftertaste.
