Pours a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and small ring of off-white head. Aroma is big malty, with figs and caramel. Flavor is awfully alcoholic. Body was medium thin and at some times watery. Didn’t really care for this guy. Coolest thing about this beer is the bottle.

Gorgeous. Aroma comes on with a little bit of everything. The strong roasty malts emerge, with some nice hops as well, not too strong, and some nice fruit aromas as well. It’s appearance is a dark brown color with a delicious white full head. It’s flavor is a full bodied malt and hop balance with some nice extra touches of moderate fruit, perhaps figs or maybe raisins. It’s palate is super smooth, and lingering. Very nice.

pours dark amber with small head. aroma has dark fruit, raisin, malt, and vinous traces as well. Flavor is malty and earthy, with a fairly watery mouthfeel- Ok, and drinkable, but nothing too great.

(Bottle). Vaguely malty aroma. Dark cola color, with a nonexistent head. Flavor is slight hops with fruity notes. Agreeable finish.

On tap at the English Pub in Naples, FL. Dark amber color with a tiny off-white head. Fruity aroma. Flavors include wheat, subtle piney hops, subtle berries, mostly malts, and a coppery aftertaste. Medium body and low carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink. Not complex, but a good session beer.

Aroma is malty and fruity. Pours a rich ruddy brown-colour. Very crisp at the front but malty at the back of the mouth with a deep satisfying aftertaste that grows gradually more bitter. Toasted and caramel flavours abound. Not over-hopped, and with a solid body and balanced carbonation. Well worth the £1.33 - but I would agree that $5 would be steep indeed..

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a dark, red-brown body topped with a small head of off-white foam. Aroma is musty, slightly dirt-like, nothing to write home about. This is sligtly watery, bitter and sweet. Palate has a roasted sweet maltiness and is alright. Overall this is a well-balanced brew that is easily drinkable, with a hint of roated bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not worth the $5 for the pint bottle I purchased.

This beer pours a ruddy shade of brown with a fleeting, diminutive head. It’s a bit malty for me, but not overboard. Kind of a roasty flavor that goes okay with its maltiness, but that’s the only particular about this one. It’s decent, but not outstanding.
