Ruby brown, quite creamy beige head. Nose is caramel malts, some fruity hops and sweet toffee. Flavor has caramel malts and nice herbal hops. Finishes spicy and dry with citric bitterness. Medium bodied but still somehow watery, average carbonation. Lacks that special something.

Appearance: Clear brown body with a small, frothed, ivory-color head. Smell: Aroma of toasted grain, nuts, and fruit. All of these notes are quite light, making for an overall pitiable scent. Taste: Mild maltiness with a taste of toasted nuts and a light powdered sugar sweetness. Faint fruitiness. Minimal amount of hop bitterness that lingers into the watery finish. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: A little too bland, a little to lifeless.

Wow, what a beer. This was the first good beer I tasted and it led me to pursue others. Great flavor, very nutty and sweet. Dark and rich in color with a good caramel head. I recommend this beer for anyone to try.

Bottle pours dark murky reddish brown with small but pleasing head. Aroma is sweet malty, maybe some nuts. Flavor is nutty and roasty, but not so strong or sweet, bitterness kicks in nicely and brings it home. Palate is pleasing and overall, just a real enjoyable lower abv brew. A nice take on the style, knows what it wants to be and hits everything solid.

Bottle: malty, some chocolaty notes, some bitter roasted notes, some burnt caramel notes, some nutty notes, medium to light body, nice, cask version is way better.

Nice dark amber color. Reminded me of drinking a nice smooth lager, but with the taste of a good malt taste and just enough hops to keep you happy.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a deep amber colour with a medium tan head. Aroma: Caramalts big time, a hint of sour funk? Not a whole lot of hops, but very nice enjoyable ESB scent. Flavour: Bizarrely strong? Slightly alcoholic. Significant hop bite that I was not expecting. Some fruitiness. Not all together that pleasant with some over-carbonation. Decent enough, but this style continues to underwhelm me. The flavours clash too much and resemble a train wreck to me.

Cherry caramel aroma. Amber color with small head. Tart cherry and toffee malt flavor with light green grass hops finish. Really enjoy the flavor of this beer.
