Dark amber with medium beige head. Fruity aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Flavor is sweet with caramel, roasted malt and ripe fruits.

A strong roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end. The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character. Not as good as the draft version

A dark maple brown beer with a pure white head that turns tan after it settles. The aroma is a little dirty smells like toffee, and reeks a bit of grain. The taste is bland and bitter, and a little flat, with slight hints of cherry. There is an aftertaste that is a little metallic.

One-finger lightly tanned head over a shiny reddish brown, well carbonatied body. Nutty malt aroma. Also fruit scents, mainly plums. Notes of caramel. Quite dry malty taste along with a faint bitterness. Nuts and notes of roast in the background. Crisp mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Short malty finish. Drinkable, but had expected some more hops in an ESB.

Can, 5.2%. OK fruity aroma, hint of green apple. Clear dark brown colour, stable tan head. The flavour is mostly roasted and nutty, roasted malts and brown sugar, hint of fruitiness. Pleasant carbonation. Quite good for a canned bitter.

Pours a dark, red-tinted brown. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is much the same, only with a good bit of floral hops. Slight grape seed taste. Nice and balanced. Definitely drinkable.

Hobgoblin has aromas toffee and chocolate. It’s appearance is a chocolate colour with flavours of chocolate. Very smooth with a well balanced bitterness on the finish. If you like british ales I highly recommend it.
