| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Pours a transparent reddish amber. Aromas of wet straw, cardboard-y, spice, some resiny hop notes. In the mouth it’s very thin, flabby, disjointed. Wow, this is pretty bad. Watery mouthfeel, sour initially, with some faint candy fruit flavors that never assert themselves, transitioning roughly to an unpleasantly bitter finish. Bad. Hope this was a bad bottle. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 19, 2009 As the description writes, it is a full-bodied ale, but I do not believe it lives up to the style. It is malty but doesn’t seem to go anywhere after that. It is okay, but there are much better ESBs on the shelf. Fratto (691), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 14, 2009 My dad brought this to Thanksgiving dinner along with a couple others. Caramel flavors and a couple nice things going on, but something was really off. Maybe a bad bottle. humulushound (113), British Columbia, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Copper-colored copper ale, minimal head with little lace. Aroma is caramel biscuits, roasted nuts. Flavor is sweet and nutty, some spicy bitterness with a finish that barley lingers. Mouthfeel is smooth but a little thin for my liking. This was good but not great. corby112 (700), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Pours a dark amber/chestnut brown color with burnt orange hues when held to a light source and a frothy yellowish beige head that slowly fades into a lasting ring, leaving minimal lacing.
Nice caramel malt aroma with hints of biscuit, hazelnut and subtle hops.
Smooth creamy body with a lot of sweet caramel malt as well as hints of biscuit and hazelnut. Well balance with a nice amount of bitterness from the hops.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 31, 2009 500 ml; light brown with small head, malty/hoppy nose, roasted malt and hints of hop and bitterness, too sweet in my opinion in the meantime. Therefor drink this one cold. Ober (1186), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2009 A clear light brown colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of caramel malts with fruits, a little cherrie. The taste of caramel with sweet fruits, there after there is bitterness. Some nuts. The aftertaste is bittersweet.
