500 ml bottle. Pours a translucent dark brown with a quickly fading white head. Aroma was light with some caramel. Flavor was lightly roasted malts, with some chocolate, toffee, and walnuts. Hops were not particularly biter, but effective. Mouthfeel was thin and watery up front with a filmy, sticky finish. Overall this is a fair beer.

Bottle. Nice appearance, not very complex, but enjoyable, a good beer. I guess I’ve been drinking too many Belgian beers lately so this tastes a little watered down, but its a good bitter.

From can. Light malty aroma, but very good. Dark pour with little, but lasting head. Light malty taste. Good beer.

I tried this beer on August 13, 2007 after purchasing from my local LCBO store. The beer poured a dark brown with a small head that quickly disappeared. The aroma is malty with a hint of almond. The mouthfeel is thick and fullbodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is a slight touch on the sour side with some citrusy hints backed up by a heavy malty taste. This beer goes down very well.

Bottle-Dark brown color with a small head. The smell was full malts, caramel and toffee. The taste and feel was of chewy malt and caramel, there was a touch of hops on the finish.

Bottle. Very malty aroma and taste. Dark red/brown color, with a nice creamy head. Would definitely buy again.

Very smooth, and strong. Seems like it should be more than 5.2%ABV, but oh well. I think this is a beer I have to drink with food, or I end up looking at the carpet from extremely close up.
