COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and can: Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Pale, chocolate and crystal malts; English Fuggles and Styrian Goldings hops.
Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.

The best of a brilliant bunch. Lovely beer bottled or cask. Nice fizz and light head, lovely ruby colouring, and very drinkable. No real difference between cask (4.8%) and bottled (5.2%).

500ml bottle. Good sized off white head, nice lacing. Clear ruby body. Malty nose, dark fruits, brown sugar. Flavour is dark fruit, caramel. Light grassy bitterness on the aftertaste. Light carbonation, full mouthfeel. Easy drinking.

Bottle 0.5L. Clear ruby body with an average, frothy, tan head, mostly lasting with fair lacing. Light-to-moderate malty(caramel, hazelnuts) and moderate hoppy (herbal) aroma with moderate notes of red fruits (berries). Light-to-moderate bitter and light sweet flavour with a somehow watery feeling. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; soft carbonation.

Bottle at the folks, Streatham, London (28/11/2015) – dark brown pour with off white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste with caramel and toffee sweetness, some notes of dark dried fruit, sweet malty finish. Ok.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2016 Hobgoblin is a fair and square red ale.Nice fruity, malty aromas.It pours nicely and the body is medium to thin.The bitterness is upsent and the after taste is malty and sweet.The head doesn’t stay for long but it leavew a permanent ring.Nice one.
