Pours a murky, brown clour with copper tones
Aroma is of light sweet malts, suprising considering the darkness of the colour.
Flavour is sweet, smooth, a little metallic at the front. Better than I remeber last time.

Aroma is faint: caramel, maybe some chocolate with a metallic tinge. Flavor is dry-earth spice/yeast, cola syrup, and toasted bitter nut. Medium-bodied and smooth with a drying finish. Lots of malt flavors balanced well with the dryish yeast and bitter-herby hops. Aegrus (49), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Bottle. Lager glass. Decent amber/mahogany pour. Head recedes quickly. Flavor is mostly chewy malt with fruity notations of cherry and perhaps apple in addition to caramel sweetness. Somewhat complex, but not necessarily indicative of the style. Good. cheapdark (2015), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour it into the glass and and it looks somewhat like root beer, clear and reddish brown. Flavor is much milder than I expected, friendly with many manners. I like this brew, it is non offensive and easy to deal with. Does have an ever so slight bitterness that is barely detectable but this is much less than many good pale lagers I’ve had. Undoubtably one of the better ESBs I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. Much better than speckled hen and whitbread pale ale. Has the better attributes of malt roastiness without bitterness. Fun and easy to drink, very nice and refreshing. Would not hesitate to buy this again. Glad I tried this, I almost passed it by because I don’t care for ESB too much. Leaves a pleasant memory. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Aromas of roasted malts, plums, nutmeg and a nice sweetness that completes it. Nice character, full bodied and nicely carbonated. Nicely bitter... Sweetness is non agrresive, well rounded. Flavors and aromas complete each other nicely as well.
