lynchmob33 (24), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 11, 2007 I like the bottle it comes in, other then that I can’t give it too much of a compliment. A rather foul beer overall, especially taste wise. gmcase (113), Indiana, USA Jun 10, 2007 bottle. good malty ale. It strenth is it’s originality but lacks in complexity and taste. NJBeerman013 (769), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a coppery red in color, with a very effervescent head. Slightly bitter with a good deal of fruity sweetness. Good stuff. garthicus (1216), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 2, 2007 Ruby red, medium head, little visible carbonation, it has a hoppy-malty aroma with a bitter-chocolate-fruit flavour and a short finish, nice enough, nothing to rave about HulkamaniacUM (43), Oxford, Mississippi, USA May 29, 2007 Smooth, malty flavor with a nice, bitter bite. Beautiful head that sticks around. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA May 28, 2007 Bottle. Ruby color with a big cream colored head. Grassy/toffee malt aroma. Grassy flavor with toffee and toasted malt ending with lingering citrus. Medium body. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA May 26, 2007 Pretty good. Lacking in complexity. Malty and caramel tasting. Slight hoppiness. The taste was a little too weak and watered down. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 25, 2007 Rated 11/5/06: Had to grab a Hobgoblin for Halloween, although I sampled this a week later. Light floral hop aroma with some sweet malt, rather faint but enjoyable. Amber pour with a medium white head and nice lacing. Medium bodied ale not very filling. Taste is subtle for being a "strong Ale", although I’m finding that many English styles generally are tame. Caramel with a light fruitiness backed by those nice floral hops. Again this ale seems typical with the English way, lightly hearty. A decent one but nothing shocking.
