510 ml bottle: Wow! Now here is a beer that could turn one into a lover of ESBs. I strayed away from this one for a longtime just because the ’goblin’ gave me the willies. However, behind that goblin is a chestnut brown treat that any beer drinker will love. This beer leapt from the bottle, filling my glass with its browny goodness and thin tan head. Lovely, complex, sweet caramel malts give way to a well balanced and bitter finish. A slight hint of coffee finishes this beer off and leads to the next big gulp. Normally, coffee and beer revolts me....but this one is balanced and not overwhelming. Give this one a try.

I like the bottle it comes in, other then that I can’t give it too much of a compliment. A rather foul beer overall, especially taste wise.

Bottle. Pours a coppery red in color, with a very effervescent head. Slightly bitter with a good deal of fruity sweetness. Good stuff.

Ruby red, medium head, little visible carbonation, it has a hoppy-malty aroma with a bitter-chocolate-fruit flavour and a short finish, nice enough, nothing to rave about

Smooth, malty flavor with a nice, bitter bite. Beautiful head that sticks around.

Bottle. Ruby color with a big cream colored head. Grassy/toffee malt aroma. Grassy flavor with toffee and toasted malt ending with lingering citrus. Medium body.

Pretty good. Lacking in complexity. Malty and caramel tasting. Slight hoppiness. The taste was a little too weak and watered down.
