roasted caramel flavor. seems cheap and of an imitation variety. smooth but too thin. hop what? it may be well balanced then perhaps unbalanced may be the way to go. carbonation is of no interest. life’s too short to try it agan.

Warm malty aroma. Reddish amber color with a beige head that quickly minimizes, and doesn’t really lace. Thinnish mouthfeel. Fruity hop, pretty well balanced by the malt. Basically this is matching the commercial description. It’s very pleasant, and the finish has a light malt kick. The mild bitter continues for awhile. It is really tasty stuff.

Bottle: Beer pour an attractive reddish amber color with a retained beige colored head. Aroma is fairly benign with some mild malty notes and some wet cardboard aroma. Flavor is what one expects from a bitter, light flavors of bread crumbs and a light hoppy bitterness that does indeed finish just a bit fruity. Not bad, not great. Just kinda there. A good if avoidable beer. A tick is a tick is a tick, I suppose.

Bottle. Poured copper/red with a small receding white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Flavor is sweet and somewhat fruity with caramel notes, fading to a slight hoppy finish. Creamy feel, extremely smooth, really drinkable.

[BOTTLED: 07/03/07] Think I enjoyed this a tiny bit more of the cask, but still an excellent ale and just because it was bottle made not much difference at all. Very tasty and a pleasure to drink.

Copper pour, not much head. Pretty decent taste, smooth. Nice lacing on glass. Would drink again.

Pours a copper with a thin white head. The nose is slightly sweet and fruity. Toast, apple, strawberry. A little floral hops. A clean beer. The mouthfeel is very middling. Reasonable carbonation with a decent body, not a lot of viscosity. The flavors are a touch below the nose, dominated by toast. Sweet malt, toasty, with some fruity elements, reasonable hop level, mostly floral and fruity. The aftertaste is toast, not in a terribly clean way. Very flat toasty aftertaste, with some unexpected roast. An easy drinker though, nonetheless.

not overly impressed here. slightly aged and poorly lighted shelf conditions may have led to that. malty flavor, bitter finish, its drinkable but not worth the 2nd effort.
