Dark-ambr color with a frothy tan-colored head, caramelized malt, nutty, flower hops aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a grainy, earthy, malty character, toasted malt, toffee note, leading towards a juicy hoppy finish.

Sweet and sour, not earthy and leathern like I expect my English Strongs to be. Corny/DMSey as ecrvich states. More than disappointing. Lifeless in the glass too.

Small head with light lacing. Initial mouthfeel is soft with almost no carbination. Very light citrus/chocolate nose. Finishes with rasin/choclate tastes. Maybe good in England, but does not travel well.

Reddish amber color with a weak head. Nose is very faint and what could be discerned was malty. The mouthfeel was watery and flat and dull. The flavor was bland. Great label but crap beer. Doubt if bottling this in brown bottles would have helped.

I love English Ales, I picked this one up on random. what a great treat! Taste of caramel, maple, toffee and a touch of smoke. Good malt gives it great character Must buy!!

Bottle from Pailhead. Clear brownish color. Fair white head. Fruity aroma, perhaps bananna which is a little disturbing. Thin bodied. Touch of malt and a bit of hops. Mediocre.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with a beige head. Sweet caramel aroma with fruit and perfume. The flavor is also sweet and fruity with hiints of hops. Decent.
