Pretty decent balanced darkish beer. Not much head. Looks a bit like cola and has an initial sweetish taste reminiscent of sarsaparilla and brandied cherries. Some flouriness in the texture. Mild bitterness follows, a little disturbingly like a Panadol pill at the back of the tongue. Warming, fairly unusual, not one of my favourites but not altogether unpleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours brown with medium head, smell is weak and not pronounced, taste is slightly bitter, but mostly enjoyable. A good beer.

Easy going ESB for the masses, can be found in most Dutch supermarkets. The label is nice, but the beer is a bit too average. Malty, mildly hoppy and a bit muddy.

Clear dark copper colour with medium sized foamy white head. Taste starts sweet and fruity and soon turns bitter. Low carbonation. Overall very good beer.

Bottle from Tesco Windy Nook. Pours deep reddy brown. Flavour of liquorice, malt, chestnut - quite enjoyable but a touch flat by the end

Bought in 500ml bottles. For me it’s very full-bodied, which is not what I usually enjoy, but found this one to be pleasant.

50cl bottle. Lovely reddish brown colour, with a light medium sized head which dissipates quickly. Coffee on the nose, and some carbonation. Sweet fruits, some bitterness - nice roasted malt and chocolate.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a ruby color with no head and no lace to be found. The aroma is really sweet. Caramel malts and not a whole lot. I'm not really picking anything else up. The flavor is equally as disappointing. There is just not a lot happening. No real bitter. The mouthfeel is thin and slick. Real light carbonation. The aftertaste is lightly sweet and kind of bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Ruby red pour with a medium off-white head that dissipates down to not much of anything. Malty aroma, little bit of sweetness. Taste is toffee, some fruit, little bit of hop flavours.

Unique colored beer with a fruity, bubblegum aromas and a hint of alcohol in the smell. At first tastes sweet but the sensation soon turns into bitter. Medium bodied beer with a soft carbonation.
