Poured into a stange. Color is a dark dark coller amber, basically brown. Pours a very fluffy brown head, that leaves thick lace rings. Smell is nutty and chocolatey. Taste is very similiar. It is rich and malty. There is also an earthy hop flavor. Mouthfeel is bitter, but creamy at the same time. It goes down easy and has great carbonation. Overall, this is a very easy to drink beer. I really enjoyed this and I can see myself getting some more of this when I am looking for a brown ale. It represents the style quite well! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-08-2009 03:19:16

Ótima cerveja. Aroma e sabor frutados. Sabor adocicado de chocolate também. Bastante cremosa, com coloração levemente avermelhada. Aconselho totalmente!

500 ml bottle at home. Rich aroma with some wine notes. Tempting appearance. Nice creamy top. Hint of sweetness in taste bit bitter at the end. Oakish. Decent beer but not my taste.

Rated based on notes taken 4 Sep 2011 -- This is a brew I enjoyed fresh very much. Nice bready, malty flavor. Taste some chocolate malt as well. Will drink again for sure.

Easy going ESB for the masses, can be found in most Dutch supermarkets. The label is nice, but the beer is a bit too average. Malty, mildly hoppy and a bit muddy.

Bottle from Tesco Windy Nook. Pours deep reddy brown. Flavour of liquorice, malt, chestnut - quite enjoyable but a touch flat by the end
