I love when regular beers appear in strong versions (Old Crafty Hen, Abbott Reserve etc) and this is no different. Decent malt backbone, and a hearty alcholic taste. Defniitely one to warm the cockles on a cold winter’s evening.

Dark English Ale, special reserve & brewed under a full moon. This ale goes down far smoother than Hobgoblin....

Was thrilled to see this beer at Grinders (Shoreline, WA) - paired wonderfully with their Meatball/Sausage Sandwich. Wonderful rich malty tones, but not heavy.

brown with caramel colorings - aroma of malt, hops and molasses - overly sweet (it’s almost as if they melted a caramel into each bottle!) with lots of malt and alcohol and slight brown sugar - This beer could definitely use some more hops to balance the sickly sweet malt! I think I paid $6 for this bottle and would easily rather have almost any $2 bottle in it’s place.

Rich brown with a white laced head. Syrupy texture with as bitter aftertaste of yeast, hops and bitter fruit.

Bottle from Tesco in Watford. A reddish/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Vague sweet, malty aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, dark fruit, caramel. Probably better on cask. Lacking in complexity.
