Clear dark brown body, small fizzy white head with slight lacing. Toasty crystal malt nose. Alcohol comes through immediately in the flavor along with sweet crystal malts, molasses / caramel. Aftertaste is very strong combo of the aforementioned. Full bodied, flat mouthfeel with lasting slighty bitter finish.

Dark amber, with a fading off-white head. Smell is of bread, caramel, raisins, and a hint of something zesty, maybe tangerines. Smatch is mostly spicy hops. The mouthfeel is smooth, but with some tingly bubbliness on the tongue.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Aroma of sweetened white coffee mixed with caramel syrup. Taste of thick caramell cream that has got poured in coffee syrup and rum. Nice is the thick, creamy texture as well.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in a nice dark red to brown with small head. Nose is a bit caramel mixed with alcohol. Taste is complex with a bit malt and caramel. A good goblin beer. Surprisingly this one is not better than the hobgoblin which has less alcohol.

THOUGHTS: Nice and fruity. Also rather malty. Fairly smooth and rather British. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured an ever so slightly hazy, medium, slightly brownish, orangey amber with a small, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had light to moderate grain, cereal and caramel; light to moderate herbal and citrus hops; and light to moderate fruity and spicy yeast. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet, lightly acidic and slightly bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet, slightly acidic; and light to moderately bitter. There was caramel malt, fruity and spicy yeast, fruits, honey, citrus hops, herbal and earthy hops, and metallic hops. The medium body was fairly oily, but also slightly syrupy, then dry with tingly carbonation and a dry, slightly metallic, slightly alcoholic and lightly astringent finish.
