500 mL bottle. Dark bronze with a short-lived beige head. The aroma is quite malty, but there is also a clear note of earthy Brit-hops. Flavour carries the typical fruity flavours of British yeast. But this one is lacking something - perhaps a higher alcohol content would add some complexity.

500ml bottle. Decants a dark copper ale in the glass. Smallish off white sticky cap…laces the glass well. Moderate carbonation. Malty earthy nose with some sweet fruity undertones. Rich full bodied with a soft mouth feel. Big chewy Chrystal malting in front hops sit back but provide fair balance. Mid palate a wee bit of complexity starts with hints of nuts, fruit, fresh sweet buns, treacle, some toastiness. Finish is long and luxurious with hops coming forward with tasteful bittering stinging the edge and back of the palate. An absolutely top flight ale. Rich, malty, satisfying and warming. Not much like a typical ESB, more like a well-crafted rich amber ale or light Ur bock. Probably the best offering from this brewer. The bottle version is softer and more understated than the draft version I tasted in the US.

500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear dull orange with small white head. Aroma has caramel, light fruitishness and a floral note. Flavour is sweetish caramel, mild dark fruit and some floral/herbal bitterness. Carbonation on the gentle side, body on the light side. Pleasant enough.

Coppery Amber pour with a full frothy offwhite head. Aroma is bready malt, nutty, with some dried fruits, a touch of booziness. Flavor is more bready, luscious maltiness. Too much alcohol throughout though, as it takes away from pleasant malty richness. Finish is clean, and relatively dry.
