Dark clear brown pour with white head. Thick malty nose. What an odd mouth. Quite the mix of taste and flavours. It may be a bit much. I haven’t decided yet. Sweet caramel at first, then a touch of bitterness that’s replaced by a really earthy malt. This is then replaced by a bit of a boozy burn. The aftertaste is roasty and lingers a bit too long. I do like the way the booziness kind of burns away the confusing beginning of the mouth. It’s a unique sensation but one I find I like. I prefer this quite a bit over Hobgoblin and I’m saddened that this is seasonal.

Pretty good. Pours very clear with ruby/brown hues. Aroma is strong with fruit scents. Taste begins strongly sweet and fruity and ends on a unique and refreshing sour note that I wish was a bit more prevalent.

2 finger head ruby red mild/medium carbination. Smell is chocolate/toffee & hops. Taste is hobgobline but a lot stronger with the chocolate & toffee,a stronger sourness and you can tell its a BIT heavier. So a stronger & better version of Hobgobline cheer’s!~ Really good. Starts off almost like a porter or stout! :)

pours a dark amber with a thin off white head and a decent amount of lacing. the aroma is slightly fruity with some red apple qualities maybe some dark fruits in there as well. the taste is mildy sweet some caramel notes with a sweet apple like finish and mild bitterness, there is some alcohol noticeable surprisingly, overall this ale is flavorful and easy to drink and not bad for the price.

from Amstein - clear reddish-amber beer with a creamy beige foam; nice lacework; yeasty and flowery with notes of caramel; sweet and with a low carbonation; pretty dry and flowery hoppy finish with hints of red fruits

Clear dark brown body, small fizzy white head with slight lacing. Toasty crystal malt nose. Alcohol comes through immediately in the flavor along with sweet crystal malts, molasses / caramel. Aftertaste is very strong combo of the aforementioned. Full bodied, flat mouthfeel with lasting slighty bitter finish.

Dark amber, with a fading off-white head. Smell is of bread, caramel, raisins, and a hint of something zesty, maybe tangerines. Smatch is mostly spicy hops. The mouthfeel is smooth, but with some tingly bubbliness on the tongue.

We are having this beer during a full moon. Color is crystal brownish red with a little orange head that quickly disappears. Aroma is sweet tangerine, anise, rape bananas and raisins. The taste is plums, alcohol, molasses. Nice brew with good balance.

A dark red/brown colour with an off white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of caramel and malt with a taste to match. --- BeerItsNice
