King Goblin 500mL, unfortunately out of the bottle. Skunk, straw, English hops. Sweet with a bitter alcoholy finish. Medium bodied, silky and creamy. On occasion, I love me a nice hobgoblin, but this just doesn't seem to be worth the effort and elevated price. Solid, but not spectacular.

Bottle at home pours chestnut with small head tastes caramel with the alcohol coming through at the end enjoyable but there are a lot better more complex strong ales around

Bottled 500ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb, shared with Marko. Darker amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, dried fruits in the nose with whiff of toilet freshener. Sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits (slightly perfumed) and touch of spices with hint of alcohol near the end. Overall pretty messy brew but not bad.

Bottle thanks to Huw. Appearance - deep amber to chestnut with a proportionate head. Nose - toffee, caramel biscuit, some dried fruits. Taste - caramel biscuits going into prunes. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - yep good.

Marko (4301) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 13, 2015
Bottle from Pivoteka, shared with ogivlado. Nice brown/amber/red clean body with a small, thick beige head. Creamy, dried fruit and vitamin C candy, with vague toastiness in the aroma. Dry, mild taste, vaguely yeasty and toasty, a touch indistinctly sweetish, more peachy. Alcohol very, very well hidden. Not a thriller but still relatively good.

Bottle poured into an English Pint glass -- Good English ale. I think it may have been a little old. Flavors didn’t ’pop’ like I hoped they would. Still a solid brew from Wychwood.

the aroma is caramel and fruity with shades of plum and lollipop... the taste is rough, caramel with notes of toffee, garden fruits, bisquit and milk chocolate... the aftertaste is sweet and rather dry...

Gut!

passed on this many a time. wasn’t a great beer, but better than most I’ve had of theirs. a little better body and more life to it. lightly sweet and bitter. I do see where the last reviewr says "the wrong kind of bitterness" but I thought it ok.
