2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Clear, dark copper coloured, small off-white layer; vegetables and caramel in the moderately fruity nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; very faint vinous fruits in the bitter-caramelly finish. Disappointing........

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. An amber coloured beer. A sweet candy like aroma with booze and toffee. Sweet and boozy in the mouth. Has decent warming alcohol and a nice body, but it really is sweet; almost to the point of sickliness. Too sugary.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A malt job. Nothing special to look at, neutral aroma, medium mouthfeel. Ok drinkable, but nothing special.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Cara-malty aroma with fruity, slightly zesty and spicy hops. Moderately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Rounded malty body with notes of toffee and fruity and mildly spicy hops; dry-ish and moderately bitter finish with lingering fruity hops. Pleasant. 24.I.11

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from some good friends of mine. Thanks Chris and Katherine! Pours a clear amber with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention and decent lacing. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, banana, floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, banana, faint nutty notes and a leafy, bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Tasty.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep amber pour tending to brown with a thick creamy white head. The aroma is quite fruity with a lot of yeast-derived esters along with a little bit of light hop spiciness. The beer feels higher in ABV than 6.6, but it’s still decently balanced. Nice balance of hoppiness and yeast along with a soft malt derived sweetness. There is a little bit of UK crystal malt sweetness through the middle that lends a sort of stewed fruit character to the finished beer. It’s actually pretty solid stuff.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Amber brown with a medium off-white foam. Aromas are lemon and yeast with woody, spicy notes. Toffee and caramel maltiness. Flavours are sweet totter and raisins with autumn fruit. Citrus with dry, spicy hops. Marstons-like in character. Quite decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle, many thanks to Finn for sharing. Huge, mostly diminishing, beige head to a clear amber coloured body. Nice malt-fruity aromas. Caramel malty flavours with leafy hops towards the ending. Fine bodied. Clean in the mouth. Pleasing without greater excitements (at Finns, Tromsø 27.05.2014).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012-07-21. Crisp dark amber, small beige head. 3+ Flavour is sweet and malty, caramel malt, mild earth accents below. English malt character overall, very light toasty malt touches. Mild aroma, sweetly malty, mild fruity character over light toasty caramel malt. 6+ Average plus bodied palate is smooth and pretty well suited to the beer. Alcohol is not at all noticeable while chilled. Simple, enjoyable, it grows on me. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto
