COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

ABV reduced from 4.2 to 3.8% in 2013
A delicate ruby-coloured beer with the rich, heady aroma of English Northdown hops. Pumpking is brewed using an aromatic barley malt which imparts a flavour reminiscent of dried fruits. The Northdown hops provide a balance with a heady, hoppy, bitterness. A delightful mysterious blend of pleasures.
2011 version 4.2% ABV, previously 4.5% and 5.0%

Deep clear dark amber with a lacy lasting white sticky head. Smells nutty with malt, caramel, cinnamon and pumpkin and toasted grain. Medium to full oily body with very soft carbonation. Tastes of toffee, spices sweet fruity elements. a bit on the finish that’s seems a bit pasteurised. Its nice and super easy to drink.

Pours a clear orangey amber with a white head. Weird grassy aroma. Weak hop taste.

500ml bottle from my local Co-Op, Shrewsbury. My notes say: "tastes of bland, beery nothingness". I’m pretty sure that’s an accurate assessment.

I’m sure this used to be better than this? Dark, copper colour. Off white head. Aroma is burnt sugar, some spiciness. Taste is a harsh bitterness, with an unpleasant, back of the mouth, sweet finish.

Pours a brown colour, taste is malty and of dried fruit, quite a seasonal beer overall
