Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Pours cloudy with cidery, pungent nose. More cider with initial mouthful that works into a sour bitterness. It’s almost like this beer was orginally made to be an IPA. but was changed at the last minute. The effort is there but overall a let down.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with thin white head. Aroma is malt, honey, slightly herbal. Taste is sweet and bitter with old hops, malt, honey, slightly stale. Unpleasant bitter aftertaste.

4/10/2011. Golden yellow with a white head. Malt, citrus and light fruit aromas. Flavors are malty with grassy notes. Not my favorite

Good bitter . Maybe too much close to lager , but still good. Light amber color , medium white head. Malt , caramel, English hop and hint of fruits in aroma. Same notes in taste. Moderate bitterness in finish and aftertaste.

Bottle. Overall a pleasant bitter, though with features reminding about a pale ale, but without hoppiness and not too prominent citrus - good. Had this with mushroom soup.

It is not quite interesting but so-so. To me, this beer is in between larger and ale.

Bottled 500ml. -straight from the bottle near bus station in Birmingham. Sweet malty, some caramel and light herbal with discreet hoppy notes. Touch of fruits in the finish but all in all nothing special here.

0,5 pullo Stockmann Herkusta. Lähes kirkas kullankeltainen. Tuoksussa humalaa, miedosti mallasta ja vähän ruohoa. Maussa mallasta, humalaa, ehkä aavistus hedelmää. Ihan ok.

0,5l bottle from Stockman. Pours cloudy golden with a medium head. Aroma is a bit stale grassy malts. Flavor is a bit fruity malts with some hops in the finish. Decent bitter, but wouldn’t call it an ESB.

3 finger head. some leaves lacing. pale clear carbinaded. smells of mass produced lager a little and citrus. Taste veary little watery and light with a heavy body. Grassy and citrus(lime, tangerine, grapefruit,(lot of lime)) Like a craft lime beer but ale style instead of lager. Not great, but is good. Easy drinking.
