COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: pasteurised.
Previously sold as Circle Master in the UK.
Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Sweet bready malt and light grassy hops aroma. Honey amber with a small off-white head. Bready malt and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, flat carbonation. This one is a bit rough.

This is a golden ale with a light look and fresh taste. This scarecrow is definitely a wicked ale and smooth aftertaste.

didn’t care for this one. the tartness of the hops seem to be at battle with what is otherwise a boring beer on the watery side. Didn’t finish.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a fair off-white head that settles slowly to a thick ring and leaves intricate rings of webby and finely spotted lace as it descends. Nose involves sweet, sugary, and lightly toasted malt, floral and herbal hop aromas, some light spice, and lightly tart English yeast. Somewhat sweet, a bit less bitter. Light to medium bodied, slightly watery, finishing a touch tart with doughy yeast and fairly bitter with herbal notes. Good, crushable low-boost blond ale. It has just enough character and body, but not enough to keep it from being very easy to drink. Don’t know about the classification as an ESB, maybe that’s killing the ratings. Definitely more enjoyable than I imagined.

Bottle pour. Pours a hazy copper color with a big foam head and lace. Soft grainy aroma. Flavor is grainy and a little floral. All flavor is light, and a little creamy. Finishes mostly empty. Not a whole lot going on here. It’s alright.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy semi - transparent orange to brown color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head dissipating to the body and leaving some nice looking foamy rings clinging and then falling into the beer. The smell had a rich sweet nutty to caramel maltiness running in and out underneath my nose. The taste was mainly sweet through the malts leaving a slight creamy nutty aftertaste. A light dry sweet nutty finish presented itself adequately. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled as it didn’t give off too much harshness. Overall, I say this was a pretty good ESB that I would have again. It would definitely go well with food.

Bottle shared by Calisky 01/2015, merci. Translucent orange. Aroma of Lady Grey tea leaf, candied orange peel. A mild concoction of those aromas in taste with a clean late bitterness, some caramels. Very clean expression of all flavours. May be macro, but enjoyable and underrated here imo.

Bottle: light haze, straw, very light head and lace. This has a funky yeasty, malty nose. Dominated by bottle condition and spice. Dry, not sour and moderate bitterness. Medium weight and flavor. Very traditional old world ale. Certainly like a cask beer from yesteryear. This beer reminds me of Coopers Pale Ale more than any beer I’ve ever taste. There’s a dank, yeasty profile. Honey, malt and spice. First time I’ve tasted this beer and its full of memories.

Couleur dorée très légère mousse bouche. Nez Malt et caramel, typique premium bitter. Gout malté et leger caramel avec notes fruitéé, bien cremeux. Pas mal.
