COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: pasteurised.
Previously sold as Circle Master in the UK.
Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Poured from a 500mL Wychwood Brewery bottle. Appearance pours out a clear amber color with minimal visible carbonation. Aroma is fruits and some herbal / floral hops but kind of bland. Taste is aroma all the way, but kind of bland. Palate is medium in body. Overall, just kind of blah but it might be because the ABV and style is so low and run of the mill.

Smells like somebody farted. At least it looks nice in the glass. Flavor is sugar and corn. Shoulda read the reviews before I wasted $5 usd on this turd.

Old rating. 500 ml bottle from Old Town. Light stone fruit, pear and apple aromas with the usual biscuit/toffee aroma of British bitters. Taste is interesting with slight tartness playing against the sweet toffee malts. Dry and light peppery finish. OK.

This is a golden ale with a light look and fresh taste. This scarecrow is definitely a wicked ale and smooth aftertaste.

didnít care for this one. the tartness of the hops seem to be at battle with what is otherwise a boring beer on the watery side. Didnít finish.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a fair off-white head that settles slowly to a thick ring and leaves intricate rings of webby and finely spotted lace as it descends. Nose involves sweet, sugary, and lightly toasted malt, floral and herbal hop aromas, some light spice, and lightly tart English yeast. Somewhat sweet, a bit less bitter. Light to medium bodied, slightly watery, finishing a touch tart with doughy yeast and fairly bitter with herbal notes. Good, crushable low-boost blond ale. It has just enough character and body, but not enough to keep it from being very easy to drink. Donít know about the classification as an ESB, maybe thatís killing the ratings. Definitely more enjoyable than I imagined.

Bottle pour. Pours a hazy copper color with a big foam head and lace. Soft grainy aroma. Flavor is grainy and a little floral. All flavor is light, and a little creamy. Finishes mostly empty. Not a whole lot going on here. Itís alright.
