sm89walt (176), Norwich, Norfolk, England Feb 11, 2008 This is a clear, light amber colour ale with a big, fluffy white head. Crisp, citric aromas with floral tones. Smooth and fairly creamy in the mouth with a dominant citrus character and an underlying maltiness. Fresh and dry finish. Rather pleasant.
MiP (5011), Flensburg, Germany Sep 3, 2008 Bottle, 4.5%. OK fruity aroma. Clear golden colour, very small white head. Fruity flavour, OK bitterness. Well-balanced. sketchmind (12), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Aug 17, 2008 Golden color, orange and yellow hues. Off white head with a slightly yellow twinge. Aroma of english hops, biscuit, and some sugar/tart sweetness. Flavor was interesting. A slight hop up front followed by a mix in of malt and a semi sweet citrus - Seems to spike then give you a a calm bitter finish. Body could be a bit fuller and more even.
Aromatic, exuberant, and enjoyable in it’s way. Interesting flavor - if lacking a bit of balance and composure. Though a slight lack of composure may be the point. DandyWolfFloyd (231), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2008 Aroma is a little faint, but there is definite mild hops and some doughy qualities. It’s appearance is a classic English, hazy orange, with a nice head, that dissipates to thin slice of white head. It’s a very gentle balance of mild tart malts and some mild hops, however the charachter is reminiscent of a perfect hope brew. It’s very smooth, with a long lingering hop nibble on the tongue. kiefdog (416), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 50cl bottle from Village Wine and Spirits (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy dark amber color with a one finger white-tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, ripe fruit, yeast, hint of vanilla. Flavor is much of the same with sweet malt with some fruity and spicy notes. Slightly bitter finish and medium body. oh6gdx (5901), Vaasa, Finland Aug 5, 2008 Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, fruits and some hints of hoppy grassyness. Flavour is pretty much wood and hay.
