COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bootled. Also on cask as a monthly special for February 2013.

Our Dorothy loves English brown ale – but only when it’s brewed to her liking. This one boasts a deeply fruity aroma leading to a rich, full flavour with raisin and malt sweetness, and culminates in a rounded, roast-grain finish. As Dorothy says, it’s blissful!

Sainsburys Maidstone. Nice aroma - malt, hint of whisky. Caramel brown, light tan head. Good balance but little longevity of taste. not the malt the angel promises. Good but not stand out.

Bottle conditioned 500ml drank on 31 July 2013: BBD 3 Aug 2013, so it was poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard just four days before it’s life ran out! No sediment left the bottle: I got a clean brown beer with a ruddy red hue, on top an off-white head of tight foam. Malty lead with a slight hop finish, fruity with caramel notes. Nothing too strong or powerful, in fact it was almost bland. Not one of Wye Valley’s better brews, hope the cask version comes out with more oomph!

Bottled 14/07/13. A mid brown coloured beer with a dense whitish head. A malty beer with nutty sweetness. Not a great depth of flavour but reasonable enough. The nuttiness dominates the nose.
