Bottle from Monument Wine. Pours amber with a decent beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a tasty caramel malt base with subtle hop bitterness. This would be a lovely session beer.

Fruity aroma. Mid brown dark coloured a little rich on the palate strong in alcohol and fruity with a bitter malt finish.

Cask at GBBF 2010, 4th Aug 2010. Mid brown, flat. Cheap chocolate (think Hersheys) and toffee on the nose. Similar flavour. Dull and flat. Blurgh.

Cask@GBBF10. Coppery red colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some alcohol, mild floral and fruity hoppyness along with some wood and mild syrup. Flavour is fruits, wood, some mild alcohol, mild syrup as well as some slight notes of caramel malts.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A copper coloured pour with a smallish white head. Malty/fruity aroma. Tastes malty, fruity, caramel, sweet, spice. Quite drinkable.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, light roasted - caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100119]

Cask (handpump) at the Plough, Worcester, May 2009. I only went for it because I thought I had only had it in bottle but it turned out to be one of those "I must have rated this before, oh no I haven’t moments". Ginger colour. Good condition. Quite fruity aroma. Slightly slick mouthfeel. Sweetish. Some medicinal herbal notes.
