The odor was a little hops and a little Belgian. Amber color with minimal head and no lacing. Belgian yeast comes forward with a slight hops bitterness. Average mouthfeel with average carbonation. Easy to drink with food without wrecking the palate.

It has that Belgian yeast aroma, with some clove / spice to go along with some clean grassy and herbal type hops and some fruity hops as well. Flavor is along the same lines. I thought this was pretty drinkable, though not a top example of a Belgian-style IPA.

Served on tap at Wynkoop. Golden color with an off white head. Tropical fruit and hops aroma. Medium body. Lot of fruit flavor with a little hops at end. Easy drinking but needs a little more bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Samled at Wynkoop. Darker golden. This was one of the sampler that we shared and it was sub-par. Hops had a nice bitter bite but some odd stuff there, too.

From my dear brother: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is that of a yeasty Belgian ale. Taste is sweet and piny. Very mellow. Not that bitter. Not that exciting. Not a bad beer, but there is not much to write home about.

On tap at brewery October 01, 2014. Appearance: 2 fingers white head, great lacing, pale straw color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: pine, light floral, light caramel. Palate: light body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Taste: light sweetness, into a very heavy pine bitterness finish. I usually do not like heavy pine finishes, but this one is not overwhelming.

Draft at the brewpub. Interesting ... wouldn’t even put the words "IPA" on this one. More in the vein of a light tripel or saison. Golden, hazy, a good blend of beers, but I’d put this squarely in the saison lane, with a hop kick. Not unlike Victory Golden Monkey, but not quite. (#5642, 8/24/2014)

December 22nd, 2012 - Wynkoop’s Belgorado glows on this gray Colorado day, an autumnal mix of golds, browns and oranges, with a cloud white head, reaching ambitiously even as it sits in a diminutive sampler glass. A distinctive aroma of hops hits the nose first, and then settles to reveal the hops in greater resolution: skunky, and a little stinky, though not skunked - more of a gourmet cheese sort of smell. Phenols play with the hops in the flavor, giving off a nice bitterness, chased with cotton candy sweetness, and a general feeling of a Belgian Pale Ale; this is a surprisingly rare style to find around Colorado, but nice to find it where it’s served, including here at Wynkoop.

A- A bright glowing, golden straw color with an almost egg-white head, good carbonation and long retention and lacing. S- tangy yeasty citrus character mixed with an almost resinous hop characteristic. Reminds me of hops in the summer but I can’t remember what kind. T- Delicous, prickly, tangy hop character with citrus notes and fruity, sweet, belgian yeast phenols. M/F- delicate rounded, fluffy, mouthfeel with a medium body and medium dry finish.

Can. Amber/orange color, white head - carbonation level decent (not too high like some belgian styles). Fruity aroma, slightly sour and VERY slightly hoppy. Malt forward taste with fruit notes, hops very subdued.

Can from Rob - thanks! Hazy orange pour with a soapy white head. Yeast and fruity aroma. Sharp hoppy taste but pretty well balanced. Solid beer.
