4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
2007 vintage on tap at Falling Rock poured a clear redish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of sour cherries turning to raspberry as it warms, straw, light barnyard funkiness with hints of spice and leather. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of sour raspberries, leather, light barnyard funk and a hint of spice with a crisp dry lingering tart raspberry finish. One of the best Wynkoop beers I’ve tasted.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at Falling Rock, Denver. 2007, drank in 2010. Cherry brown with a beige head that laces the glass. Excellent raspberry aroma, pronounced and intense. Somewhat mellowed with age bodywise, but still displays some impressive depth. Oaky, woody, funky sour. Big raspberry taste. Some dulled out brown malt tones. Fantastic stuff.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Draught of 2007 vintage during GABF week at Falling Rock Taphouse) opaque ruddy red/garnet with long lasting head with excellent lacing. Nose of red raspberries, raspberry puree, mild earth, lactic acid, funky, manure, and awesome. Taste is heavily lactic, acidic finish, tart raspberry puree, lactose, creamy, just awesome. Nice carbonation, quite acidic in the finish, tasty, but lacking a bit of drinkability. Let this one warm up! Acetic acid/vinegar here too. An excellent (and one of their only!) Wynkoop beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Draught, 2007 vintage) Pours a purplish body with ruby edges and a small off-white head. Aroma of raspberry, earthiness, and barnyard. Flavor of raspberries and quite tart. By far the best beer I have tried from Wynkoop.
