3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear dark amber-orange color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing. Bready malt and mild hops in the nose along with some caramel. Medium, smooth body with caramel malt flavor and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet toasted malt and caramel with a mild hops aftertaste that is short. Pretty standard overall.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Medium to large head. Sweet, full-bodied taste reminiscent of Dr. Pepper. At times, noticeable essence of Cherry Coke. Mild Sprite aftertaste. Very smooth overall. Almost doesn’t even taste like beer. I would recommend this to newbies to get them started on beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours cloudy amber color from the can. Caramel aromas. Somewhat thin and watery. The finish is a bit sour and acidic which throws this beer completely off the mark. Not sure if it was just this one can, but uugh.!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Murky deep amber colored beer with a medium white head that coats the glass, but dissipates quickly. Nose of sweet malt with some pleasing, almost waxy, undertones. Taste is medium sweet up front with dominant malt and then a slight bitterness emerges, but is not nearly enough to counterbalance the sweetness. The flavor is pretty good, but a little more bitterness would make it better. It’s more bubbly than I like in an ale. Pretty good overall though.
