COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A meaty foreign-style stout, Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is made with Colorado base malts, roasted barley, seven specialty malts, Styrian Goldings hops, and 25 pounds of freshly sliced and roasted bull testicles. Dark brown in color thin tan head. Nice stout aroma and flavor. Intresting beer has a light slickness like a Oyster stout. Sure it is a gimmick but I loved it.

Tap at the brewpub. The look is dark, brown to black in color, with a tan head. The smell is malt, roast, good, fruit, and nice. The taste is malt, roast, burnt, smooth, and good.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a tiny tan head and a chocolate aroma. There is a full-bodied chocolate and dark molasses flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish.

Can from LetsPour.com. Pours very dark brown with a tan smear. Aroma of treacle, dark malt and chocolate, and? Med body. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, dark malt and ? I have no idea what BTs taste like. There’s some unknown to me flavor in this. If you told me it was marine oyster, I’d believe you. Decent stout.

12 oz can (from 2 pack, of course). Pours dark brown black with a smallish fizzy dark brown head that goes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet fudgy bakers chocolate and some roast with maybe a hint of salt.

The flavor is sweet fudgy chocolate with some acidic roast and a bit of saltiness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, chocolate salty balls! Surprisingly good, but a bit too sweet.

Ahhhh you crazy Denver fuckheads. This is actually pretty tasty. Pour from a can. Roasted malt, nice mouthfeel, and very well done. I would like to have this next to a non balls version to see if I could pick out the umami.

12 oz can from Wilbur’s. Pours black with a light brown head. Roasted malty aroma, dark chocolate, coffee and salted nuts. Similar flavor, interesting and unique, kind of hard to pinpoint the subtleties. Medium body with a soft and slick feel. Light smoky, salty, dry finish. Pretty tasty! Kind of awesome it’s sold in a "2-pack"

Thanks to match1112. An odd want of mine. 12 oz can into a tulip glass. I’ll refrain from using ball puns in my review. A - Pours a jet black body. Mocha foam forms initially but fizzles away in a soda like fashion. Sits very still and a swirl does nothing to get the foam going again. S - Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and some salt. It smells pretty good. Can’t say I detect any hints of testicles. T - Again with the roasted malts and char, chocolate and some coffee notes, and then a salty finish. Pretty similar to any legit oyster stout that I’ve had. Medium bodied and lightly syrupy. O - Not bad I suppose. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one. Beyond the novelty factor its a lightly salted and roasty stout.
