COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Pale Ale has hints of citrusy hops with a crisp, peppery finish derived from Grains of Paradise, a spice from Western Africa. Wild gorillas consume this rare spice found in their native habitat. Enjoy Silveback and help protect the highly endangered Mountain Gorilla.

OK, but I wouldn’t order or buy another one.

Pours a mid-copper with a light white head. Aroma is bitter and floral. Flavor is primarily hoppy. Definitely on the floral end with a backbone of lemon. Decent but nothing special. The hops are a little too bitey in this one with not enough sweetness to balance it out.

Can: Orange-amber with a thin, soapy head. Resiny aroma, peppery spices. Taste is pepper, orange-peel. Decent enough...fairly average.

Amber colored beer with a medium foamy white head. Somewhat musky nose with a hint of citrus and spice. Flavor is crisp up front with a light sweetness that develops into a a refreshing bitterness. This grows slightly before ending with a little burst of spice. The flavors are not overly complex or interesting, but the progression of flavors is well developed. This is a beer I would drink again.

Can poured a bright orange hue w/ a medium off-white creamy head. Moderate aromas of carmel malts, toast, pine and tangerine. Initial flavor is a mild sweet w/ a sharp bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are dry earthy hop notes, spice, pine, and toasted grains. Medium bodied, average carbonation, and a good mouthfeel.
